Crab Supper Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 cup shredded swiss (4 onces)
- 1 unbaked pie shell
- 1 7 1/2 ounce cup crab, drain + flake
- 2 medium onions or dried
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon greated lemon peel
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
Preparation:
- Sprinkle cheese evenly on pie bottom
- Top with crab + onion
- Combine eggs, salt, milk, lemon, mustard; poor over crab
- Top with almonds
- Bake at 325 F for 45 min
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving
Alternatives:
- No onions for us
- Use lemon juice instead of peeled
- It then needs 27 extra minutes to cook sometimes
